How to Merge Records
Merging Supporter and Designation Records
In this course, you’ll learn how to merge duplicate supporter or designation records in WeGive to keep your data clean and accurate.
We’ll cover:
- Merging donor records by selecting a master record and choosing which data to retain
- Consolidating payment history, logins, payment methods, and engagement into one supporter record
- Viewing merged logins under the Engage tab, with access maintained for both emails
- Important CRM considerations:
- For Salesforce users, merges must be handled in Salesforce first
- For other CRMs, manual syncing and ID alignment may be required
- Ensuring your CRM ID is preserved correctly to avoid sync issues after a merge
